Have a question about CBD?

People have a lot of questions about CBD oil, but finding the answers can become confusing and overwhelming. Blessed CBD is here for you on your CBD journey.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of over 100 cannabinoid compounds that occur naturally in cannabis plants. Cannabis flowers produce a sticky resin that contains these compounds. The flowers also contain terpenes, amino acids, and various other compounds.

CBD is one of the most popular compounds. The other is THC, the infamous compound known for its mind-altering effects, and the reason for much hesitance when people think about trying CBD oil. Learn more about CBD.

Is Blessed CBD legal in the UK?

Absolutely. Blessed CBD’s full range of products (including our CBD wholesale) is compliant with the FSA’s ongoing Novel Foods regulatory process.

Alongside the required novel foods license, any CBD oil product that is produced using hemp plants is 100% legal to buy and consume in the UK.

You can buy and use CBD oil derived from hemp when it contains less than 0.2% THC and which is then purified to contain less than 1mg per dose. Blessed CBD products contain less than 1mg THC per dose.

Why don't you have a cheaper product?

A cheaper product, from the research we’ve gathered, has led to a lot of people spending their money on ineffective CBD oils.

Selling a low dosage like 250mg doesn’t seem to offer our customers the kind of results they’re looking for unless they use double their dosage, which makes the product last a shorter period of time.

Although our CBD oils come in 10ml bottles, you don’t need to take as much due to our high CBD potency and concentration.

Additionally, we offer all customers free guaranteed next day delivery and an exclusive 10% coupon code, so if you exclude these costs from our final selling price, you’ll find that we’re actually more affordable than most other CBD brands in the UK market. Many consider us the best CBD brand in the UK.

How does CBD work?

Our body has a system that produces its own set of cannabinoids, called the endocannabinoid system (ECS). The ECS contains a complex network of neurotransmitters and receptors that spread throughout the body, working to maintain balance within several organ systems.

What time of day do you take CBD oil?

Customers who seem to get a lot out of CBD oil make it part of their morning routine or take it right before going to bed. The majority of our customers will split their dosage into 2-3 servings throughout the day (for example, morning, afternoon and evening).

How much CBD should I take, and how often?

There is currently no conclusive decision on the exact dosage that should be taken. It comes down to trial and error and finding the dose that works best for you. We recommend that you start low and slow with just a couple of drops daily and then increase gradually until you find the dose which works for you.

You might be surprised at how little it takes, so take the time you need to increase or decrease your dosage until you hit the sweet spot.

What's the most effective way to take CBD?

There are many ways to effectively take CBD, but oil in the form of tinctures is one of the fastest ways to introduce CBD into your body. This is followed by CBD gummies, CBD capsules and CBD cream.

Where do you source your hemp from?

Our hemp comes from licensed farms. They adhere to strict regulations and provide some of the finest soil to grow organic, clean hemp.

Are your hemp extracts safe? What are the potential side effects?

Every batch of Blessed CBD oil is tested by an independent lab to test for any contaminants, pesticides, solvents or heavy metals and the lab results are made available to the public – so you can always feel good about buying our CBD oil.

Some reported side effects may include:

  • Dry mouth
  • Drowsiness

It’s important to start at a lower dosage, giving your body time to adjust to it before increasing the amount of CBD you take. Always consult with your doctor if you’re unsure about using CBD and other medications.

What are the most important factors to consider when buying CBD products?

When buying from reputable brands that make high quality CBD products, the most important factors to consider boil down to these 2 questions:

  • How do you want to consume CBD?

Tinctures, capsules, vapes, teas, gummies, salves, ointments, balms… the list goes on. Choosing the right product depends on what you’re using it for, if you’d be comfortable using it in public if you suddenly need it or how convenient you’d like using it to be.

Oils can provide the most potential benefits but aren’t as easy to precisely dose if you’re new to CBD. Topicals can be applied directly to affected areas and great for recovery after workouts. Gummies make dosing easy and taste good but can sometimes contain high amounts of sugar and synthetic ingredients, making them ineffective and just a “fun” product (unless you buy our highly potent 750mg CBD gummies).

  • What strength do you need your CBD to be?

Doses vary a great deal – it helps to buy a strength that matches your dosage. If you know you will need a high dose of CBD, a more potent oil makes sense as you will need too much of a lower strength to experience the same results. Look into our premium 1000mg CBD oil option if you’re looking for a strong and potent strength.

What's the difference between hemp and marijuana?

Both hemp and marijuana are cannabis plants, with the difference between the two being their composition. Marijuana, or Cannabis indica, contains high levels of THC and is illegal to sell or buy unless for lawful medical purposes.

Hemp (Cannabis sativa) contains less than 0.2% THC and is used to make CBD oil and other CBD products.

Hemp vs marijuana derived cannabinoids: are they the same?

CBD extracted from a marijuana plant is the same as CBD from a hemp plant.

The same is true of any other cannabinoid. The difference is the ratio of cannabinoids consumed. You’ll find that marijuana plants are high in THC and low in CBD and vice versa for hemp.

Terpenes vary a great deal between the two plants but also vary greatly depending on the strain. Our hemp strain contains high amounts of terpenes in order to produce a robust, full spectrum CBD oil. For those who aren’t a fan of the bitter and strong taste of our pure full spectrum formula can opt for our broad spectrum CBD oil with zero THC.

Is hemp seed oil the same as CBD hemp oil?

No, hemp seed oil found at the local store is not the same as CBD hemp oil. It’s important to read the labels carefully, even when purchasing online.

CBD hemp oil is made from the flowers of the hemp plant, no seeds are used in this process. The oil must be extracted from the flower to get the oil.

Hemp seed oil, on the other hand, is made by cold pressing the hemp plant’s seeds. The oil produced from the seeds is rich in amino acids, trace minerals, and other nutrients but doesn’t contain CBD, terpenes or any other naturally occurring hemp cannabinoids.
